Asbestos was commonly used in Canadian building design and construction until the late 1980’s.
Commonly used building materials, included: fire proofing, mechanical equipment insulation such as pipes, ducts
and furnaces. Asbestos was also commonly found in drywall joint compound, floor and ceiling tiles, outdoor siding
materials, and many types of insulation. Hard asbestos containing material, also included, cement pipes and drains
as well wall board used around fireplaces and as acoustic material.

Overview (2 Hours) — For Owners Managers and Occupants of buildings with Asbestos
Maintenance & Custodial Worker( 4 Hours) — Emergency response to disturbance of ACM and routine maintenance
Asbestos Removal Worker & Supervisor — In accordance with Regulated MTCU Requirements
