WPI is committed to providing our clients with a proactive, programmed approach vs. a responsive approach to keeping people from harm
Archie Pantelmann. Senior Project Consultant, President; WPI
Archie began his career in the Canadian Armed Forces traveling the world in many different positions. Throughout his 25
years in the Forces, Archie held many posts including Unit Safety Officer, Human Resources; Planning and Training, Office
Manager, Assistant Unit Security Officer as well as Internal Security/Tactical Response Senior NCO.
During his time in the army, he was exposed to many different world cultures and cross sections of Canadian and Foreign
societies. After 25 honorable years as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Archie retired to his own business as a
Workplace Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Consultant. It was during his military career that Archie
discovered that he was successful in the identification of hazards as well as the development, implementation and ongoing
management of control programs.
The WPI success has been the whole program approach from in depth hazard identification to the development,
implementation and management of control programs.
Combining these many years of structured Health and Safety experience with his diversified skill sets, Archie assembled a
team of hand picked associates and took these values to the private business sector.
Under Archie's direction and active participation, the consultants at WPI have worked on numerous projects since 1985.
Full time Occupational Health and Safety consulting services were provided to the former Scarborough Board of Education
for two consecutive years followed by another nearly four years of project consulting to the Metropolitan Toronto School
Board.
Industrial, construction, healthcare and municipal client projects included asbestos management and remediation
supervision, lead contamination cleanup, contaminated water response, toxic chemical assessments, environmental site
assessments, noise assessments and hearing loss prevention programs .
An eight year pause in full time consulting while working for the Bluewater District School Board heading up their
Occupational Health and Safety Unit, reduced the time available for consulting. Nevertheless projects on behalf of industrial
and public sector clients were completed on time and within budget.
