Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), is a significant concern in numerous Public, Industrial, Institutional and Commercial buildings Poor building IAQ leads to health concerns and complaints such as: stuffiness, headaches, dry eyes, settled dust, static, no air movement, lack of “fresh” air and more. Often, workers are medically diagnosed with work related respiratory ailments, allergies and other illnesses. Assessments of building IAQ includes monitoring of temperature, relative humidity, C02, C0, airflow rate and dispersion patterns, filtration and equipment maintenance, light intensity, and, when indicated, contaminant sampling and bioaerosol analysis. Sample collection, analysis of laboratory and monitoring data, and interpretation of site conditions, must be conducted by competent professionals.
